A PROBUS Club is a local association of retired and semi-retired PROfessional and BUSiness people who enjoy socialising with new friends, old colleagues and fellow professionals.

The Aberdeen Clubs offer an opportunity to discuss and exchange views and ideas and build a wider social network.

Members assemble for a chat over tea and coffee prior to the meeting which starts with club news and business followed by an interesting talk, usually from visiting speaker.

There are Club lunches and walking, bowling, golf, book and music appreciation sections as additional club activities. Outings to places of interest are occasionally organised.

The Aberdeen PROBUS Clubs do not exist to raise money for charity, although the clubs make occasional charitable donations following an event at which donations have been made.

Benefits of Membership:

▪ Meet with retired/partially retired professional business people from a variety of professions.
▪ Enjoy the opportunity to discuss & exchange views & ideas and to build a wider social network.
▪ Attend entertaining & educational talks on a wide variety of topics.
▪ Participate in social events e.g. summer and Christmas lunches, local outings and visits.
▪ Participate in interest groups e.g. Book Club, Walking, Bowling and Music groups
▪ Perhaps take the option to visit other affiliated groups to attend talks, etc
▪ Contribute to Club organisation, and enhance and further develop, the Club e.g. by helping to establish new interest groups.
▪ Perhaps have the opportunity to deliver a talk on your favourite topic if you wish.

The City of Aberdeen PROBUS Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.
The Bon Accord PROBUS Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.

There are no meetings in July and August.

Both Clubs meet in the Aberdeenshire Cricket Club, Morningside Rd, Aberdeen AB10 7FB at 10 for 10.30am.
