The club was founded in central Edinburgh in 1986 with the aim of providing regular meetings for retired professional and business men, and whilst we display all the virtues implied by the Latin probus we are above all a very friendly group.
Our meetings are held in the comfortable surroundings of The Edinburgh Cine and Video Society at 23A Fettes Row EH3 6RH every second and fourth Thursdays of the month from September to May at 10:30am. At these meetings we enjoy fellowship over coffee and talks on a wide variety of topics. During the year we organise two lunches at city centre hotels and, from time to time, visits to places of interest in and around the city.
Fettes Row is well served by buses and restaurants where we usually go for lunch after the meetings. If this sounds like a stimulating way to spend a Thursday morning then come and try it out, guests are always made very welcome.
