Murrayfield/Cramond Probus Club is a social club for retired or semi-retired business professionals. Our branch was formed in 1989 and meets in the Edinburgh Room of the Royal Burgess Golfing Society Clubhouse, usually on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from October to March (though the syllabus may be subject to change).
Speakers over recent years have chosen topics such as; the mid-air hijacking of a Boeing 747 (explained by the Captain), the aftermath of the Lockerbie Disaster, the Falklands War, The Beatles, Brain Health, Financial Heroes & Villains, Ruxton-The First Modern Murder, D-Day 80 and the Six Nations after a World Cup…and many more.
The Club meets at 10:30 for coffee followed by a Speaker presentation at 11:00. There is the option. after every presentation, for lunching and socialising in the splendid setting of the Royal Burgess Dining Room.
