Hello and thank you for entering Rhyl & District Probus Club Page.
Like all Probus Clubs we are a completely autonomous group with very few restraints, even financial, and have very few Rules except for Members to inform the Secretary at least 24 hours before their inability to attend a monthly Lunch.
We meet at 12.30 for a convivial chat at the Bar followed at 1pm by a 2 course Lunch on the first Wednesday of every month at The Elwy Hall, Grange Road, Rhyl LL18 4RG. Free car park on site. Bus from the Town Centre stops 100yds away. Maybe if transport is a problem I could help, do get in touch. There is wheelchair access too.
A Speaker, external or one of our own members is invited to speak to us for about 45mins on basically any topic at all.
As we are all retired, whether of age or not, we have no responsibilities with regard to fund-raising or anything else and have no ties at all. Just a leisurely meeting of like-minded folk once a month for a chat, lunch and a speaker,
Please don’t be put off by the PROfessional and BUSiness in the name, we are not a ‘stuffy’, ‘clicky’ lot. There are shopkeepers, teachers, policemen, journalists, council workers etc etc, your past occupation and life, within reason, is not our concern, we are all RETIRED.
We also have the occasional ‘jaunt’ out usually by coach to absolutely anywhere or anything we please and invite the ladies and friends, no where too far or too exacting, just a pleasant relaxing day out.
If you think the above just might be of interest why not give us a try. Can you spare a couple of hours ‘socialising’ with people who could soon become friends? Do drop me an email so I can order a lunch for you, or even to ask a question or for more details.
Thanks for reading this far. It would be great to meet you and maybe start a new chapter in your life. You never know you might just like the relaxed atmosphere and ‘laid back’ attitude. Because you can, we do!
